The Nigerian Air Force (NAF) has clarified the discrepancy in the reported number of victims of the ATR 42 aircraft crash at Igbokoda, Ondo State. According to Air Commodore Ehimen Ejodame, the confusion arose from different interpretations of the term 'souls on board' between civil aviation and military usage. He explained that in civil aviation, '25 souls on board inclusive of seven crew' means the crew are included in the 25, while military usage counts the seven crew within the total of 25, not in addition to it.
