Justice Adefope-Okojie leads debate on judicial intervention in Nigeria’s elections

Justice Oludotun Adefope-Okojie, a retired Justice of the Court of Appeal, will deliver the 2026 Gavel International Annual Lecture on November 17. The lecture, titled 'Electoral Process in Nigeria: Managing the Boundaries of Judicial Intervention,' will examine the role of the judiciary in Nigeria's electoral process and its relationship with the constitutional right of Nigerians to determine their representatives through the ballot box. The event will be held at the Main Hall of the Lagos Chamber of Commerce and Industry, Alausa-Ikeja, Lagos, with Chief Anthony George-Ikoli, SAN, as chairman and Mr. Femi Falana, SAN, moderating the panel discussion.
