2027: Gov Yusuf reconciles Deputy Senate President Barau, Bichi

Governor Abba Yusuf of Kano State facilitated a reconciliation meeting between Deputy Senate President Barau Jibrin and House of Representatives member Abubakar Bichi ahead of the 2027 general elections. The meeting, disclosed in a statement by the governor's media aide Sanusi Bature, lasted two hours on Tuesday in Abuja. Barau represents Kano-North Senatorial District, while Bichi represents Bichi Federal Constituency and chairs the House Committee on Appropriations. The governor urged the two APC leaders and their supporters to set aside their differences, noting that the party's success requires unity and mutual understanding.
