The Gombe State Police Command has reaffirmed its commitment to improving service delivery, strengthening community relations and promoting people-centred policing across the state. Commissioner of Police Umar Ahmed Chuso gave the assurance on Wednesday at a stakeholder engagement held at the command headquarters to mark the 2026 Customer Service Week. The event, themed 'Going the Extra Mile,' brought together representatives of government ministries, traditional and religious institutions, civil society organisations, the Nigerian Bar Association, the business community, transport unions, community leaders, students and youth groups, the Police Community Relations Committee, media organisations and members of the public. Chuso said the week provided an opportunity for the command to engage directly with the public, receive constructive feedback and identify areas requiring improvement.
