Minister of the Federal Capital Territory, Nyesom Wike, revealed that the late Chief Daniel Orbih rejected inducements from former Rivers State Governor Rotimi Amaechi to withdraw support for Wike's governorship ambition. Wike spoke at a night of tributes in Abuja for Orbih, who died on August 31 at age 64. He recounted that Amaechi offered Orbih everything, but Orbih stood firm and refused. Wike traced their bond to the political turbulence between 2013 and 2014.
