The Katsina State-owned Community Development Programme (CDP) has empowered over two million people through various initiatives and rural development projects. State Coordinator Professor Kamaludden Kabir disclosed this during the inauguration of executive committee members of 'Dikko Mayar Da Alkhairi Da Alkhairi'. Beneficiaries were drawn from all 361 wards across the state, and the rural revitalisation initiative has improved livelihoods and created economic opportunities. The CDP also distributed 400,000 bags of fertiliser as part of its interventions.
