N18m fraud: Man allegedly impersonating Ogun prophet on Facebook arrested

The Ogun State Police Command has arrested Adewale Arojah for allegedly impersonating a cleric on Facebook and defrauding victims of over N18 million. According to police spokesman DSP Oluseyi Babaseyi, the arrest followed a complaint lodged on October 3 by Muyiwa Akogun, known as 'Prophet Dr. Muyiwa Akogun,' who reported that a duplicate Facebook account was being used for fraudulent activities. The suspect, described as a spiritual son of Akogun, allegedly used the cleric's identity to deceive unsuspecting members of the public. The Divisional Police Officer in Ilaro deployed intelligence and detective operatives to track and arrest the suspect.
