The media office of Nigeria Democratic Congress presidential candidate Peter Obi has urged Nigerians to remain vigilant against vote-buying ahead of the 2027 elections. In a statement, the Peter Obi Media Office advised citizens not to sell their Permanent Voters Cards or accept any inducements that could compromise the electoral process. The office accused the ruling All Progressives Congress of exploiting poverty to offer large sums of money in exchange for PVCs. It called on Nigerians to collect their PVCs, keep them secure, reject bribes, and report any suspected electoral manipulation.
