A 45-year-old man, Adeniyi Benjamin, has been arrested by the Oyo State Police Command for allegedly posing as a medical doctor and operating an unlicensed medical facility in the Olodo area of Ibadan. Benjamin was arrested on October 2, 2026, at about 3:00 p.m. by operatives of the Command Monitoring Unit at his facility, identified as "Life Is Good Hospital." The arrest followed intelligence received by the police concerning his alleged activities. Police Public Relations Officer, DSP Ayanlade Olayinka, said the suspect was arrested while attending to patients and administering fertility-related treatments despite allegedly having no medical qualification or licence to practise medicine. Items recovered from the facility included two weighing scales, four Quantum Magnetic Resonance Body Analysers, a stethoscope, specimen bottles and a carton containing assorted medicines.
