A survey by workforce intelligence company Visier found that almost half of US employees have exaggerated how much they use AI or their expertise with it to colleagues or leadership. Forty-five percent of workers felt pressure to leverage AI even when they were not confident about how to do so effectively. This phenomenon is called 'performative AI' by Visier. The pressure stems from AI mandates or being judged for productivity.
