On Monday 21 September, during an attack on the village of Quelimane in the district of Mocímboa da Praia, Cabo Delgado province, a local health centre supported by Médecins Sans Frontières (MSF) was looted, with essential medicines and medical equipment stolen. MSF condemned the attack, stating that such incidents have devastating consequences for communities already facing extreme vulnerability due to conflict and displacement. The organisation noted that people with chronic diseases such as HIV/TB, hypertension, or diabetes have their treatment interrupted, putting their lives at risk. MSF called for respect for health facilities and emphasised that health care must remain accessible to all, including those in conflict-affected areas.
