Ghana and India have reaffirmed their commitment to deepening bilateral relations and advancing cooperation across strategic areas following the first official visit to Ghana by India's External Affairs Minister, Dr. Subrahmanyam Jaishankar, on Tuesday, 6th October 2026. The visit comes as Ghana-India relations have been elevated to a Comprehensive Partnership. Ghana's Minister for Foreign Affairs, Honourable Samuel Okudzeto Ablakwa, welcomed Dr. Jaishankar and described the visit as historic. He noted that the elevation of bilateral relations was testament to the enduring relationship, which has produced tangible development projects including the Jubilee House and the Kofi Annan International Peacekeeping Training Centre.
