The Commissioner of Police for the Federal Capital Territory Command, CP Ahmed Muhammed Sanusi, has ordered an investigation into allegations that police investigators demanded N450,000 from a content creator before investigating a complaint. The allegation was made in a viral video by Tumma Gabriel, who claimed officers at the FCT Police Command Criminal Investigation Department requested the money as "mobilisation and petition." The command's Police Public Relations Officer, SP Josephine Adeh, said in a statement on Thursday that the command does not mandate or encourage officers to solicit or demand any form of payment before, during, or after investigations.
