The Arewa Consultative Forum (ACF) has sarcastically congratulated Daniel Bwala, Special Adviser to President Bola Tinubu on Policy Communication, for acknowledging that the administration's economic reforms have increased poverty and hardship among Nigerians. Professor Tukur Mohammed-Baba, Publicity Secretary of the ACF, made the remark during an interview on Arise Television's News Day on Thursday. Mohammed-Baba was reacting to Bwala's comments on Channels Television on Wednesday, where the presidential aide admitted the reforms contributed to increased poverty but argued the government had made significant progress since introducing the measures. Mohammed-Baba said Bwala's admission marked progress from his usual denials.
