The Transmission Company of Nigeria (TCN) has announced scheduled preventive maintenance on two power transformers at its Ijebu-Ode Transmission Substation in Ogun State. The annual maintenance will be carried out on the T1 and T2 30MVA, 132/33kV power transformers on Thursday and Friday, October 8 and 9, 2026, respectively, from 10am to 5pm each day. TCN said the exercise is necessary for routine checks and servicing to ensure optimal performance and reliability. During the maintenance, the Ibadan Electricity Distribution Company (IBEDC) will be unable to offtake electricity from the affected transformer, leading to power disruption in some communities.
