The crisis in the Ondo State chapter of the APC has deepened over a rally organized by the SDP. Allegations emerged that some political appointees of Governor Lucky Aiyedatiwa attended the SDP campaign rally for Idanre/Ifedore Federal Constituency. The development has renewed allegations of anti-party activities within the APC ahead of the 2027 general elections. The SDP candidate, Hon. Tajudeen Adefisoye, defected from the APC after being denied the ticket.
