NYSC abduction: Mother demands airlift, security escorts for corps members nationwide

Twenty prospective National Youth Service Corps members who were abducted in Imo State have returned safely to Ibadan after spending seven days in captivity. Upon their return on Thursday, they were taken to the Department of State Services headquarters in the Aleshinloye area for debriefing. The incident has prompted calls for the Federal Government to overhaul transportation and security arrangements for corps members deployed nationwide. Faith Felicia Abiala, mother of one of the rescued corps members, urged the government to provide stronger security arrangements for corps members travelling long distances by road.
