On Thursday morning, Vice President JD Vance held a press conference to announce the suspension of a major visa program used by Microsoft. Vance specifically named Microsoft, alleging that the company abused the Permanent Labor Certification Program more than any other US company. He claimed that for every worker Microsoft laid off, it replaced that worker with one-and-a-half foreign indentured servants. Hours later, President Donald Trump honored Microsoft CEO Satya Nadella as a "key figure" at a separate event.
