The Nigerian National Petroleum Company (NNPC) reported a profit of N7.2 trillion in its 2025 financial performance. According to management, the profitability was achieved despite pressure on the company's top line, partly due to cost optimisation, recovery of outstanding receivables, and improved operating efficiency. The company is now focusing on institutionalising cost consciousness across the organisation as part of efforts to enhance global competitiveness.
