Nigerian singer Mayorkun, whose real name is Adewale Mayowa Emmanuel, has said that friendship breakups can be more painful than romantic relationship breakups. Speaking on the In My Opinion podcast, he explained that people invest more in friendships because genuine friendship requires liking and connecting with someone. He added that this emotional investment makes the end of such relationships particularly hurtful.
