The Academic Staff Union of Secondary Schools (ASUSS) FCT Chapter and the National Association of Nigerian Students (NANS) JCC FCT Chapter have distanced themselves from the ongoing strike by the Nigeria Union of Teachers (NUT) FCT Wing, calling it ill-timed and counterproductive. ASUSS FCT Chairman Julius Ogundiran stated that secondary school teachers in the FCT are not on strike and are actively teaching. The groups called for dialogue to resolve the issues.
