A Kano resident, Ibrahim Yusuf, has recounted losing five children within eight days to suspected diphtheria. His ordeal began when his children developed fever and were taken to Kabuga Primary Healthcare Centre before being referred to the Infectious Diseases Hospital. Two children died on the same Monday, about 40 minutes apart, and three others died subsequently. The incident highlights ongoing concerns about diphtheria in Kano State.
