The Kogi State Command of the National Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA) has seized over 10 tons of illicit drugs and recovered 40 firearms and 874 cartridges from suspected drug dealers since late 2025. The command also recovered counterfeit Naira, dollar, and Pound notes, as well as fake drugs, which have been handed over to relevant agencies for further investigation. State NDLEA Commander Mr. Umar Yahuza disclosed this in Lokoja while handing over the recovered arms and ammunition to the National Centre for the Control of Small Arms and Light Weapons (NCCSALW). He said the recovered weapons comprise five pistols and 35 other firearms, and that several suspects were arrested, with many currently facing trial at the Federal High Court, Lokoja, where males account for over 80 percent of those standing trial.
