The unsustainable estate developers

Real estate development is an expensive venture, and for developers to recoup investments and remain sustainable, especially in Abuja's economic environment, end products must be priced according to prevailing conditions. The article argues that the only reason various real estate businesses in the city are not crashing as they would globally is the source of wealth financing the projects, which the majority are products of public fund mismanagement or other forms of corruption. Otherwise, it is unimaginable for a development to remain unoccupied for years; instead of dropping prices to make it accessible for mutual benefits, developers remain unmindful and ask for higher rents each year, without minding the loss of personal revenue for the period the houses were vacant. Many property developments of the eighties and nineties located in prime locations of the city are now out of tune with prevailing architectural designs.
