Governor Hyacinth Alia of Benue State has directed the 23 local government chairmen to intensify security efforts in their areas. The chairman of Guma Local Government Area, Maurice Orwough, disclosed this to newsmen in Gbajimba on Wednesday. According to Orwough, the governor's directive has continued to yield positive results in tackling insecurity. Several communities in the state had previously faced security challenges.
