According to Amazon, these profiles are generated from data including purchases, searches, reviews, lists, and Alexa for Shopping conversations, and do not use outside data. Customers can edit or remove details from their profiles, but doing so does not erase their Amazon data. The profiles have drawn attention for their sometimes amusingly specific conclusions about shoppers.
