McKinsey top exec: AI is making workers, not companies, more productive

Eric Kutcher, senior partner and chair of McKinsey North America, said that AI is boosting individual workers' productivity more than that of organizations as a whole. Speaking at the company's media day on Wednesday, Kutcher noted that outside specific areas like software development, broad productivity increases have yet to materialize across companies. He added that companies must rethink how they work to achieve widespread gains. In software, AI has helped developers generate more code and release features faster.
