The High Commission of Sri Lanka in Nairobi held a briefing session on Sri Lanka Expo 2027 on 2 October 2026 at the Sapphire Hotel in Mombasa. The event brought together public and private sector stakeholders to explore opportunities in trade, investment, tourism and business partnerships between Sri Lanka and Kenya. Acting High Commissioner Ruvini De Silva delivered welcome remarks, followed by presentations and discussions on enhanced economic cooperation. Mohammed Osman, County Executive Committee Member for Trade, Tourism and Culture, represented the County Government of Mombasa.
