New Judges of Economic Community of West African States (ECOWAS) Court Sworn In for Four-Year Non-Renewable Term

The Chair of the ECOWAS Authority of Heads of State and Government and President of Senegal, H.E. Bassirou Diomaye Diakhar Faye, presided over the swearing-in of five new Judges of the ECOWAS Community Court of Justice. The ceremony took place in Abuja, Nigeria, on 6 October 2026, for a four-year, non-renewable term. It was attended by the President of the ECOWAS Commission, the Speaker of the ECOWAS Parliament, Senegal's Minister of African Integration and Foreign Affairs, and other officials.
