Minister of the Federal Capital Territory, Nyesom Wike, has alleged that the ongoing strike by the Nigeria Labour Congress and the Nigeria Union of Teachers in the FCT is politically motivated. He claimed that the union chairperson was a former candidate of the African Democratic Congress in the last February FCT area council elections. Wike has ordered a 'no-work, no-pay' policy in response to the strike.
