Liberia: From Selection to Field Readiness: School Monitoring Interns Begin Training

The School Monitoring Project has entered a new phase with the training of 160 Monitoring and Evaluation Interns. The Ministry of Education has started clustered training, beginning with 56 interns from Montserrado and Margibi Counties, comprising 44 from Montserrado and 12 from Margibi. Deputy Minister for Planning, Research and Development, Hon. Thomas M. Parker, opened the training and stressed the importance of reliable school-level data for informed decision-making. The interns are being trained on the Ministry's priorities, Liberia's education system, field roles, digital monitoring tools, tablet use, data entry, and reporting procedures. After training, they will support school monitoring and data collection in their assigned areas.
