Tree-Planting Symbolising Enduring Friendship and Growing Partnership Between Ghana and India

India's External Affairs Minister, Dr. Subrahmanyam Jaishankar, planted a tree at Ghana's Ministry of Foreign Affairs on Tuesday, 6th October, 2026, during his first official visit to Ghana. The tree-planting symbolized the enduring friendship and growing partnership between Ghana and India, as well as their shared commitment to environmental sustainability. The Minister for Foreign Affairs, Hon. Samuel Okudzeto Ablakwa, and Ghana's Minister for Education, Hon. Haruna Iddrisu, assisted in the exercise.
