Ignatius Ajuru University of Education, Port Harcourt, Rivers State, has expelled a final-year student, Miss Onyewuenyi Chiamaka Nora, over social media content. The expulsion was announced by the Vice-Chancellor, Professor Okechuku Onuchuku, during a Senate meeting held on Wednesday. The decision followed a viral video in which Nora claimed that a lecturer in her department was handling her final-year research work and had charged her. The university also announced its ranking as seventh in staff Google Scholar Profile Submission in the 2026 Ranking of Universities.
