The Portfolio Committee on Justice and Constitutional Development welcomed the Public Protector South Africa's achievement of 100% of its performance targets across all programmes in the 2025/26 financial year. The institution also secured a clean audit outcome with no material findings from the Auditor-General of South Africa. Committee Chairperson Mr Xola Nqola noted the PPSA's performance in administration, investigations, and stakeholder management as evidence of accountable governance and operational efficiency. However, the committee expressed concern about the protection of whistle-blower information and the application of confidentiality protocols, particularly regarding reports that confidential information had been compromised or disclosed in KwaZulu-Natal.
