The All Progressives Congress has formally requested that the Independent National Electoral Commission enforce a Supreme Court judgment concerning party membership registers. In a letter dated October 9, 2026, addressed to INEC Chairman Prof. Joash Amupitan, the party cited the Supreme Court's September 24, 2026 ruling in INEC v Zenith Labour Party, Suit No. SC/CV/495/2026. The APC argued that INEC, as the appellant in the suit, is constitutionally obligated under Section 287(1) of the 1999 Constitution to give effect to the judgment. The letter was signed by National Chairman Prof. Nentawe Yilwatda and National Secretary Sen. Ajibola Basiru.
