The governorship candidate of the African Democratic Congress (ADC) in Zamfara State, Alhaji Bulyaminu Yusuf Shinkafi, has pledged to tackle insecurity and restore peace in the state if elected governor in 2027. Shinkafi made the pledge on Thursday night during a campaign rally in Gusau, where he identified security as a priority of his proposed administration. Addressing a large crowd, the ADC candidate sympathised with families affected by persistent insecurity, acknowledging the loss of lives, displacement of residents and destruction of livelihoods caused by attacks across the state. He said restoring peace was essential to rebuilding communities, supporting farmers and reviving economic activities.
