IGP Disu mourns 25 killed in NAF aircraft crash

Inspector-General of Police IGP Olatunji Rilwan Disu paid a condolence visit to Chief of the Air Staff Air Marshal Sunday Kelvin Aneke on Friday, following the Nigerian Air Force NAF 931 aircraft crash that claimed 25 lives. The visit took place on October 9, 2026, during which Disu conveyed the condolences of the Nigeria Police Force to the leadership, officers and personnel of the Nigerian Air Force, as well as the families of the deceased. He expressed the solidarity of the police with the Air Force and prayed for strength and comfort for the bereaved families and colleagues. The Force Public Relations Officer, CSP Aniete Iniedu, quoted the IGP as saying that the Nigeria Police Force remains in solidarity with the Nigerian Air Force and honours the service and sacrifice of those who lost their lives.
