Governor Chukwuma Soludo of Anambra State has approved the full implementation of the 2025 agreement between the Federal Government and the Academic Staff Union of Universities (ASUU) for staff of Chukwuemeka Odumegwu Ojukwu University (COOU), effective January 2027. The approval was conveyed to the Vice-Chancellor, Prof. Kate Omenugha, through the Chairman of the Governing Council, Prof. Peter Onwualu. The university's Public Relations Officer, Dr Harrison Madubueze, disclosed this in a statement. The Vice-Chancellor commended the governor and thanked the university's labour unions for their understanding.
