NDLEA seeks traditional rulers’ support to fight drug abuse

The National Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA), Jigawa State Command, has sought the support of traditional rulers in tackling drug abuse and illicit drug trafficking in the state. The State Commander, CN Hassan Katangana Kabaju, made the appeal during a courtesy visit to the Emir of Hadejia, Alhaji Dr Adamu Abubakar Maje, at the Hadejia Emirate Palace on Friday. Kabaju highlighted the role of traditional institutions in raising awareness about the dangers of drug abuse, guiding young people, and mobilising communities to support efforts to combat illicit drugs. He reaffirmed the command's commitment to working with traditional rulers and other stakeholders to protect communities and promote a drug-free society.
