The Federal Government and the 36 state governments have adopted Ethiopia's nutrition model to improve child nutrition across Nigeria's 774 local government areas. The decision was reached during the Nigeria-Ethiopia Nutrition Leadership Exchange in Addis Ababa, where Vice President Kashim Shettima led a delegation that included governors and ministers. The initiative aims to strengthen nutrition delivery through coordinated action in health, education, agriculture, water, sanitation, and social protection. Governor Ademola Adeleke of Osun State, who was part of the delegation, highlighted the importance of local interventions.
