The Stand for Humanity Foundation is combating child abuse in Imo State, where over 20 cases have been reported in recent months, including battery, maltreatment, and defilement. In one incident, labourers drugged and defiled a 13-year-old girl and dumped her in a hospital. Another case involved a guardian damaging a 5-year-old girl's genitals, and another guardian is in jail for child abuse.
