Former Vice-President Atiku Abubakar has asked the federal government to clarify what will happen after its 30-day petrol price discount expires. He accused President Bola Tinubu of copying his proposed petroleum pricing policy without the measures needed for lasting relief. The Minister of State for Labour and Employment, Festus Keyamo, responded that Atiku's criticism is a sign of political depression, while the Chairman of the Federal Inland Revenue Service, Zacch Adedeji, insisted the discount is a commercial decision, not a subsidy.
