The Imo State Police Command has arrested a police traffic warden, Inspector Chinwe Ejiogu, and two personnel of the State Civil Guard Corps over alleged extortion and harassment of a motorist in Owerri. The arrests followed a viral video showing the officers allegedly harassing and attempting to extort a motorist driving without a driver's licence. The police command condemned the conduct as unacceptable and contrary to expected standards. The suspects are being detained at the State Criminal Investigation Department.
