Nigeria's oil production has rebounded from 960,000 barrels per day to meeting OPEC's target of 1.5 million barrels per day and above. This increase follows a security breakthrough in the Niger Delta, where organized crime syndicates, illegal refining cartels, and sabotage had previously targeted upstream wellheads, flow stations, and trunk lines. The improved security has allowed for increased production in the region.
