The Victor Ochei Campaign Council has condemned the detention of Mr. Sochi Okolo, calling it unwarranted and a political abduction. Okolo, a council member and former senior media aide to the Executive Chairman of Aniocha North Local Government Area, was allegedly detained on the orders of a powerful individual over a Facebook page. The council explained that Okolo created the page with his personal details and lent it to the chairman's office, but when he resigned, he requested that the office's materials be removed. The council stated that the office agreed to do so within a week but has not complied more than a month later.
