The Bauchi State Sector Commander of the Federal Roads Safety Corps (FRSC), CC Caleb Luka, has appealed to drivers, particularly commercial vehicle drivers on the Bauchi-Jos highway, to avoid over speeding to prevent crashes. He made the appeal while speaking with journalists at the 2026 International Customers' Week celebration held at Yankari Express Hall in Bauchi. Luka noted that since his posting to Bauchi, he has observed serious over speeding among drivers on the Bauchi-Jos Road, emphasizing that the best journey is to arrive safely, not quickly. He also observed that some tipper truck drivers within the town drive carelessly and should be cautious to avoid crashes that could kill innocent people.
