Gbenga Hashim’s Court Victory: INEC, Accord Party Served With Court Judgement

The Certified True Copy of a Federal High Court judgement affirming Gbenga Olawepo-Hashim as the Accord Party's presidential candidate for the 2027 election has been served on the party and INEC. Justice Mohammed Garba Umar ruled on October 5, 2026, that Hashim emerged as the candidate from the May 30, 2026 primary and ordered the party to submit his name to INEC. The court also directed INEC to accept and recognize him as the party's presidential candidate. Accord Party's counsel, T.W. Olusesi, told the court that the primary had been validly cancelled.
