A 35-year-old Vehicle Inspection Officer, Adediji Sesan, was crushed to death by a vehicle on Hospital Road in Akure, Ondo State. The incident occurred at about 9:30 a.m. opposite Mega Primary School when the officer flagged down a driver for a routine inspection. According to the Ondo State Police Command, the driver initially stopped but drove off when asked to produce relevant documents, hitting the officer in the process. The driver has been arrested and detained as police begin an investigation.
