Former Senate President Bukola Saraki has commended the Federal Government's directive on the purchase of locally made vehicles. He recalled a 2016 Senate bill that aimed to promote the patronage of locally assembled vehicles and Nigerian-made products. Saraki argued that prioritising such products could help sustain existing jobs, create new employment opportunities, and give manufacturers the confidence to expand their operations.
