Centre referee Driss Lamghaidar and his officiating team have admitted an error in the Beach Soccer Africa Cup of Nations first leg qualifier between Nigeria and Ghana. According to the NFF, Lamghaidar acknowledged he erred by requesting extra-time and penalties in the first leg, meaning the 3-3 scoreline after regulation time will stand going into the second leg. Nigeria's goals were scored by Isa Hamza Manga, who netted a hat-trick, while Ghana scored through Mawuli Sosu (brace) and Wise Nyamadi. The NFF held a meeting with the officials on Saturday night where the error was admitted.
